In that time I've won thousands of dollars across many different games, and I did this all while obtaining a master's degree and then working full-time as a software engineer. I can teach you to learn just as efficiently, faster. Being a top player in a fighting game requires a lot of skill, but being a great coach requires a different kind of skill set. For this reason it's rare for top players to also be great coaches; they don't see things the same way their students do, and they're prone to taking information for granted that some students need to reach the next step of success, if only because that information has become second nature. Empathy for a student's place in their journey to becoming the next pro player is overlooked but absolutely critical, and this is where I can help the most. My current games of focus are UNI, MBTL, and KOFXV: - I've been actively playing UNI as a series since UNIEL's console release in 2014, and I am known to be one of the strongest Waldstein players in the world with many top 8 performances throughout the years. - With a strong 3rd place finish at CEO 2021 and top 8 showings in stacked online brackets, I have a respectable claim as one of the strongest Kouma players in North America, and I am generally considered to be an authority on the character. - Although KOFXV is relatively new as of now, I have legacy experience in KOF since 2006 and secured top 8 placings at multiple majors during the early life of KOFXIII. Much of that legacy knowledge carries over into the new game. In general, I strongly advocate for the philosophy of "work smarter, not harder" and understand that mentality coaching can be just as important as in-game coaching. Whether your personal goals are short-term or long-term, I can help you reach them faster. Your time is precious, and with the right approach you can start seeing better results in less time. This is the approach I aim to take, and I look forward to helping you better yourself both personally and professionally as a fighting game player.
