Master Kazuya
For anyone that wants to learn Kazuya, whether you're new to the game or not, this plan will help boost your play exponentially and help you practice Kazuya's best aspects as a character while working around his weaknesses. In this training plan, we'll go over: - Combo routes and ToDs (Touch to Deaths) - How to wavedash and optimize your movement - Fundamentals about Kazuya and his disadvantage - Matchup spread - Miscellaneous (Frame Data, Stage Positioning, Ledge Trapping, Universal Fundamentals, Gimmicks, etc.) I'm confident that you'll greatly benefit from this plan, and you'll be able to get some great wins as you continue to play.
Sessions Overview
Day 2: Wavedashing and Movement
1 hourMovement is the 2nd most important aspect of Kazuya because it's crucial to know when to go in and how to do it correctly. In this session, we'll review wavedashing and how to use it to your full potential.
Day 3: Fundamentals and Disadvantage
1 hourConsistency is key! (in my opinion), and so learning how to play more consistently with Kazuya is very beneficial since it'll add another layer to your play. We'll go over key aspects of Kazuya's moves and better understand when to use them and when to dictate the pacing of a match. That'll help improve your fundamentals of the game. And with consistency, your disadvantage state needs to be on point. While Kazuya does have a weak disadvantage, it's surprisingly underrated, and we'll go over how to minimize taking damage as much as possible.
Day 4: MU spread
1 hourKazuya can have very polarizing matchups, but if you can be calm and collected, you'll run over every character in the game. We'll review as many matchups as possible and have a game plan when going into your sets.
Day 5: Miscellaneous
1 hourThere are a lot of nuances to learn in Ultimate that may be hard to understand, but doing so will set you above players at your level. In this session, we'll review some tips and tricks to catch your opponents off guard, understand stage positioning to help further push your advantage state, help better understand what frame data is and how to use it to your advantage, and cover any questions you may have.
Day 1: Combo Routes and ToDs
1 hourThis is the most significant aspect of Kazuya, so we need a lot of time to go over everything, but the reward is unlike any other character in the game. In this session, we'll cover every combo route you can pull off and learn how to KO your opponent in 1 hit. While this seems too good to be true, it can be inconsistent to pull off every time, so we'll go over different combo routes to optimize your damage and play more consistently.
