Hey guys, I'm Cristian. Super excited you landed on my page! Here are some of my accomplishments in the world of chess : As a player, I've been competing since I was 5. I became a Grandmaster at 18 years of age, World Youth Champion in 2007, 2016 Millionaire Open Winner, and 2018 National Open Champion. I've been teaching private lessons since 2010. Recently, I accepted the head coaching job for the University of Missouri (Mizzou) chess program. One of my favorite coaching experiences was being part of the coaching staff of World's #2 (US #1) Fabiano Caruana throughout the 2018-19 World Championship cycle. Coaching Fabiano during the World Championship match allowed me to garner vast experience at the highest level. Chess Commentator often featured during the St. Louis Chess Club & Grand Chess Tour broadcast. Coaching runs in my family, as my father is also a renowned coach in Romania, my home country. I am deeply passionate about helping my students reach the next level,and most importantly, enjoy the process. For starters, I will go through a thorough analysis of your chess DNA.
