Hey everyone, my name is Reece (they/them), also known as Golden, and I've played melee since June 2016 and Jigglypuff since August 2016. Why I am qualified to coach: Experience is above everything, and I have 5.5 years of Puff playing experience, with that experience coinciding with very consistent and disciplined play, practice, and competing. I have coached for about a year, with 9 months on Kone's academy and 3 months of dabbling in informal coaching beforehand; in this time I have built a motivated student base that enjoy my teaching style. Throughout these years, I have been a close confidant with Alexspuffstuff and learned a great deal about Jigglypuff and also how to teach Jigglypuff. Outside of the skill benefits that a close relationship with a renowned melee coach brings, I have been able to contribute to the Jigglypuff meta and refine my ability to communicate new concepts. Because of this experience, I have the ability to coach anybody looking for Jigglypuff knowledge, anti-Jigglypuff knowledge, and to a lesser extent the Pikachu-Fox matchup specifically. Unfortunately some of my free time has been taken by starting law school last fall, but in response to shifting priorities I have placed a greater priority on coaching. But beyond experience, how can I earn your intrigue? I am personally of the belief that game skill is not as strongly correlated with ability to coach as one would think. However, I believe I have demonstrated competence at the game to the degree where I feel I am comfortable going on good authority with high level melee concepts. I've never made a top 100 ranking, but throughout my career I have gathered pretty good wins at both IRL and Slippi events: Hungrybox, Ginger, Colbol, Westballz, Gahtzu, BBB, Krudo, Free Palestine, Ben, Reeve, Grab... (Slippi). AbsentPage, Ben, Iori, SDJ, Suezo, Preeminent, Twotran... (IRL). Lastly, I will include an ongoing Google Doc of testimonials about my coaching: https://docs.google.com/document/d/142DL2suKGi92J9MsFiZn2idW4HNyq6BYKwhDowtl-HE/edit?usp=sharing Good luck in your improvement journey!

Q&A/brief lecture on topic given in advance

Full Jigglypuff v. Fox Punish Game

Tips on how to optimize your punish in Puff vs Fox off key combo starters such as Upthrow (including detailed breakdown of RTC rest), Upair, Drill. Also, a detailed explanation of the meta-shifting bair grounded tech chase, which unlocks the ability to reaction tech chase off virtually any grounded knockdown in the matchup. No/very little edgeguard instruction. I can answer questions on how to edgeguard Fox but I cannot distill this into a flowchart or lesson when it comes to edgeguarding high level Fox players. It will be more valuable to analyze edgeguards with assistance of a VOD.
