The Street Fighter Within Smash
IMPORTANT: MUST HAVE FIGHTCADE! As you may or my not know, I incorporate a lot of Street Fighter fundamentals to my competitive play. I will use this plan to make the student play both these games and have a similar neutral between both games. (This would be a better use for Ryu and Ken mains).
Sessions Overview
Ken advanage (SSBU)
1 hourLearning how to capitalize on every little hit you win in neutral.
Playing in disadvantage state (SSBU)
1 hourI'll be the first to admit that Ryu, and ESPECIALLY Ken advantage state is not that hard to learn on your own time. That said, what I'd prioritize learning a lot more is your disadvantage state.
Back to the basics (SF3s)
1 hourLearning the basics to SF3rd Strike whilst learning how to do grounded neutral, how to poke, and how to parry.
Translation
1 hourTaking what we've learned from EVERY lesson and applying it to your play in Smash.
