X9 Academy 101: Introduction to VGC
This training focuses on introducing you to VGC and giving you tools to set you up for consistent improvement, hitting all of the most important fundamentals a player needs. This plan is designed for those who are just getting into VGC, and need guidance through the early stages of learning the game.
Sessions Overview
Teambuilding and EV Training
2 hoursThis session will focus on all the different aspects of making a good team, and being able to identify key factors that make a team good. By the end of this session, you should have a strong idea of how to teambuild, along with a guide for you to reference back to in the future.
Introduction to VGC
2 hoursThis session will have us going over some basic mechanics and the overall Scarlet/Violet meta, getting you acclimated to VGC and giving you a better understanding of the game as a whole. There will also be optional assignments to accompany our work and improve your knowledge outside of our coaching sessions.
Final Review
2 hoursIn this session, we will put all of your lessons to the test! The final review will include everything we have already worked on, and we will identify skills for you to work on, and establishing goals for yourself within VGC, along with offering you key tips and knowledge on how to form a strong mentality when approaching Pokémon!
Battling Basics
2 hoursThis session will focus on all aspects of battling. We will primarily focus on how to approach team preview, assess different board states, and how to make adjustments between matches.
