Hello fellow Melee grinders! Let me tell you a bit about how I approach coaching. While Marth is my main, I am able to play all the high tiers at a level where I can at the very least uncover some of the flaws in your gameplan. Other than Marth, the other characters I feel I have the most knowledge with are Sheik, Spacies, and Falcon, though I definitely am confident in my ability to coach players of any character. For a first session, I usually like to have us start by playing a few games in whatever matchup you are looking to work on to give me an idea of your skill level, your strengths and your weaknesses. From there I like to point out holes in a students gameplan, and, not only suggest ways in which to overcome these holes, but also provide them with the tools to seek out these holes and find solutions themselves in the future to show them how to approach improvement as a whole in the long term. When it comes to mentality, I feel I have experienced it all over the course of my long career. Problems with salt, depression, apathy, anxiety, and everything in between can make performing in tournament more difficult, and while it is different for everyone, I feel that I have come up with solid ways to deal with these issues and can help impart this wisdom on to you! If a student of mine takes notes during our lessons, if they send the notes to me I am more than happy to look over them, and correct, clarify, or add anything to make these notes more useful, in the past students of mine have told me that this is one of the most helpful parts of my coaching so I would highly recommend doing this If my students ever have smaller questions they would like to ask outside of a session, I do my best to reply as soon as I can with the best advice I can. If you have any questions about my coaching before signing up, feel free to dm me on my twitter or discord, which you can find linked in my coach profile.
