Lamby Tournament Prep Methodology
This 4 lesson course is literally how I prepare for tournaments. (Masters Tours, open cup qualifiers, Grandmasters, any tournaments actually). I'll be giving you insights on how to focus your mind on what needs to be focused on, and also analysis of the current meta with relevance to the tournament of choice. We will have 1 on 1 practice matches where we tweak your line-up as well as improve your understanding of matchup specific nuances. The key to doing well in tournaments is a lot more simple than you think, this course will benefit anyone looking to see improved tournament results. It is recommended that we start this course at least 1 week before your tournament, so as to have sufficient time to practice what is learnt in our lessons before the tournament commences. Tldr, prepare for your tournament with a pro.
Sessions Overview
Fine-tuning and mental prep
1 hourThis and the subsequent lesson will be focused on fine tuning our strategy. Practice matches will be conducted with the goal of matchup familiarization. Where possible I will provide a guest pro player opponent to facilitate the best possible challenge for the student. Also, we will look into the mental aspect of competing where I'll provide tips and methods to focus on whats important in a match while under pressure.
Fine-tuning and mental prep
1 hourThis lesson will be similar to the previous lesson, I believe repetition of tournament environment where possible is key to doing well when faced with the actual challenge. Where relevant we will tweak the line-up to best suit our intended strategy once again. We will also revisit how to best focus while under pressure.
Faith and Confidence
1 hourOur final lesson will be to consolidate everything we have done in the last 3 lessons. We will have a final match practice with the line-up we spent our time and effort building. The goal of this lesson is not to introduce many new elements into our existing plan, but to reinforce our mind to have the confidence to succeed.
Understanding the meta, crafting the line-up
1 hourWe go in-depth into line-up building and analysis of tournaments leading up to the one you are going to participate in to determine what we will be up against. This lesson's main focus is to deduce the direction we want to proceed with and build the skeleton for our line-up.
