ever since piranha plant came out I have been a step ahead of the character's meta, always polishing and inventing what it means to play this character at a high level. in this 7-day plan I'll teach you how to play piranha plant in respective scenarios and we get a lot of games in as well as going over if this is the character for you to truly learn and what interests you in them in the first place! I'll go extremely in depth and chances are we both learn things along the way :)

Sessions Overview

Piranha plant's neutral (day 1)

1 hour

although we will be practicing your plant everyday forward from day 1 the beginning of each session as well as my overall focus on teaching will go into categories. so we will be playing but I will take times before or between games to explain plants option in nuetral and help you obtain a grasp of plant's shortcomings and strengths in nuetral. and I'll show characters that can abuse it and characters that struggle against it.

Piranha plant's advantage (day 2)

1 hour

on day 2 we will go over plant's strong suites as well where plant needs to respect other characters and the space opponents need to fear after a hit.

Piranha plant's disadvantage (day 3)

1 hour

We will mostly go over plant's biggest weakness as a character as well as go over potential options to combat scenarios plant struggles in and define when to be bold and how to restrain being too repetitive. I'll go over scenarios and teach you the value of plant's hard-callout trading potential against certain character's advantages to reverse them!

Piranha plant's ledgetrapping/edgeguarding (day 4)

1 hour

this session we go over how to abuse plant's unreasonably dangerous pressure. It's got a lot of subtleties that are important and timing and spacing are prerequisites to truly instill the pressure plant witholds in control of the stage as well as the threat of killing offstage~!

Piranha plant's recovery (day 5)

1 hour

the more the play the character the better you get in this scenario, we will go over what makes plant's "telegraphed" "abusable" recovery into one of the most frustrating recoveries to deal with alongside the survivability. We will also go over characters that make recovering as plant a huge struggle and the mixups we have for it!

Piranha plant critical thinking (they can do that?) FINAL DAY

1 hour

We will overall reflect on everything we've been over in the last 7 days! ask any questions you have if I failed to go over anything, and let me know if there was something I could have done better! I'll question your future with the character as this training plan was meant to push your forwards with it or even just understanding of the character! as a special parting gift from the plant bootcamp my gift is the slide that highlights the significance of everything we went over! not only as a token of my appreciation but as a reminder if you ever want to remember things! Introduction and reasoning day 0

^30mins-1hr we go over the basic touches on day one. why do you want to play this character? what character do you currently play? and we strategize how this can compliment your playstyle as well as matchups. I'll bring up vods to find scenarios that could potentially fit your struggle, and we will go over if this character is truly what you're looking for.
