A Comprehensive Guide to Kiriko
Intro Kiriko is fundamentally a duelist and flanker. She doesn't have the same utility as Ana, and she doesn't out-heal a Baptiste. Instead, her value lies in the middle. Kiriko gets value by dueling flankers and threats on off angles like no other support (or hero, for that matter) and MUST be played proactively and methodically. Her swift step exemplifies this playstyle, an ability with little use while she is inside her team's "sphere" of protection but gives her massive amounts of safety while separated from her team. Kiriko requires a playmaker who takes calculated risks and has confidence in their mechanics. A common misconception about Kiriko is that her most potent ability is suzu. While suzu may provide great defensive utility, the safety and potential swift step provides ENABLES her to be the flanking menace she can be. 📚Intro📚 Dive is one of the most iconic compositions in Overwatch, yet it is misunderstood. Dive attempted by amateurs is often uncoordinated and not methodical. Dive is so strong because it leverages every bit of map geometry, cooldown, and hero to their fullest potential, but it requires time and the perfect storm to set up.
