My name is Mark Woodin or Raijinku in the gaming community. I have been playing card games for over 20 years and I have a master’s degree in the science of counseling psychology. Overall I have been working in the therapy field for 15 years. I believe in finding the best in everyone and as long as the person is willing to strive for that success, they can achieve it. Most recently, I have earned my invitation to the 2021 and 2022 National Championship for the Digimon Trading Card Game. In the first ever national level event I finished in 30th place of my pod and 63rd overall in a field of over 800 players. I have numerous national invitations through the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game ranging from 2005-2012 and earned 34th place at a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series in Columbus, Ohio out of over 1,100 players. I have also won/placed in multiple other games, most notably Kaijudo, where I was able to get second place at the final Winter Championship event in Rhode Island. I am currently involved with One Piece where I have been consistently winning or making it into the Top 4 in local events of 18-25 players. I plan to become involved in Battle Spirits Saga and Disney's Lorcana when they release in the Spring and Fall later this year. I have taught others how to play games in the past and have worked with people to become better and more confident versions of themselves through my experience as a therapist. In our sessions, we will focus on your wants and goals that you would like to accomplish. This will be done by incorporating concepts from psychology which include SMART goals into sessions to make sure they are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely. We will explore realistic strategies and ways to work at achieving your personal goals and what steps we’ll need to take to overcome any barriers preventing your success.
