Comprehensive Beginner Course (New PC Gamers)
This course is designed for players completely new to League of Legends or even new to PC gaming entirely. Over the course of several lessons, the student will become a competent League of Legends player through a combination of discussion, VOD review, in game coaching with bots and will culminate with live coaching sessions for draft games to prepare you for ranked matches. We will work together to find champions and roles that fit your desired playstyle to maximize skill growth and enjoyment.
Sessions Overview
Tentacle Tactics: Learning Legends I
1 hourIn this lesson the student will spend the full hour in bot games with me or with me live coaching. We will continue discussion based learning during games in regards to neutral objectives, win conditions, and understanding each phase of the game.
Tentacle Tactics: Learning Legends Introduction
1 hourIn this first, longer session, we will spend our time ensuring comfort with keybindings and begin with the full tutorial. Once we have accomplished this we will spend some time discussing roles and lanes while determining the best lane fit for the student to begin their climb. We will then work into playing bot games together while I analyze what aspects the student will need to work on most.
Tentacle Tactics: Learning Legends III
1 hourBy this lesson the student should demonstrate a strong understanding of the basics of League of Legends. This lesson is dedicated to preparing for eventual ranked gameplay. I will in game coach or live coach a draft game explaining the nuance behind draft strategy, team composition, and how to snowball leads effectively against human opponents.
Tentacle Tactics: Learning Legends II
1 hourIn this lesson we will begin with a live coaching session followed by discussion based learning in regards to champion subtypes, counters and matchups, and itemization. The student will also be shown free external resources that can assist in analyzing gameplay.
Tentacle Tactics: Learning Legends V
1 hourThis lesson begins with a VOD review or live coaching session. We will spend the full time working on issues specific to the student at this juncture in the training plan. This lesson is more focused on practical application of gameplay than discussion as the student begins to transition toward preparing for ranked gameplay.
Tentacle Tactics: Learning Legends IV
1 hourThis lesson will begin with live coaching or VOD review of a recent draft or normal game played. Afterward we will play an ARAM and discuss minor champions interactions and how to learn them quickly.
Tentacle Tactics: The Educated Legend
1 hourIn this final lesson, we will begin with 2 VOD reviews or live coaching sessions. After completion, we will spend approximately 20-30 minutes discussing how patches work, gameplay changes and how to adequately stay on top of game knowledge. This lesson will culminate in 1v1 practice or a final discussion session based on the students preference and needs. Upon completion the student should have a clear understanding of all major facets of League of Legends as well as a foundation for future growth as a player capable of climbing in ranked gameplay.
