Learning Lucas from scratch

Learning a new character is always difficult, and Lucas is the fastest and probably one of the most complex and difficult characters to play in Project M/+. Whether you are a beginner to the game or want to learn Lucas as an addition to your character roster, you can count on me to get you to understand the button pressing monster, as I know him inside out!

1 hour

Execution is hard! And Lucas has tons of it! In this lesson I'll be teaching you combos, movement, pressure, and give you drills to hone your skills to have all the tools to approach the broad tree of situations Lucas has available at all times without getting overwhelmed.

Finding true north

1 hour

As you grasp everything Lucas can do, it's easy to lose track of what's good and what isn't. What is worth practicing, and what can be left a bit behind. In this lesson we will go over several common scenarios, how a Lucas player approaches them, and what a Lucas player looks for during his blindingly fast gameplay.

Introduction

1 hour

In this session I'll give you an overview of the character, the tools Lucas has, the challenges you will expect, his strengths, and his weaknesses. This lesson is key for understanding what tools to focus on first with your training and not getting lost in the process.

Playing with purpose

1 hour

Not every situation is a quiz question, this game is played by two players. In this final lesson I will teach you how to apply all the knowledge you've gained to attack your opponent's mental health bar, as well as how to analyze for weaknesses from a Lucas point of view. After finishing this lesson, you'll have graduated from a beginner to a respectable Lucas player who can use all of his tools to approach any situation.
