This course is designed to convey EVERYTHING I know about playing Master Yi and how to climb with him through all elos. The goal of this course is to give you all the tools you need to become the best Master Yi player you can be. The focused mind can pierce through stone. *NOTE: If there is any part of this training plan that you want to modify or don't need, let me know and we can discuss different topics during that time or use it for a simple coaching session.
Sessions Overview
Improvement Mentality & General Solo Queue Strategies
1 hourLearn about the out-of-game strategies that do just as much to help you climb as the in-game strategies. This includes things like how to game the MMR-system, what kind of mentality will help you win more games, how to manage tilt and deal with frustrating teammates, and how to learn and improve faster with intentional training. This is something that I almost never see other coaches discuss with their students, even though it's extremely important, especially for Master Yi mains.
Builds, Runes, Summoner Spells
1 hourOptimize your Master Yi setup by learning what builds, runes and summoner spells I and other high-elo Yi mains recommend. If you're interested in learning niche, different/off-meta playstyles that I and other high-elo Yi mains have found success with, we can explore that as well, down to every last item, rune and summoner spell.
Matchups
1 hourDiscuss all of Master Yi's matchups (including junglers and laners) and how you can plan ahead and optimize your gameplay according to each one.
Micro: Combos, Teamfighting, Split Pushing, Farming
1 hourLearn Master Yi's different combos (yes, he does have combos!), how to play teamfights properly, how to split push properly and how to optimally clear jungle camps.
Macro: Jungling, Pathing, Win-Conditions
1 hourLearn what to do before jungle camps spawn, what kinds of clear you can do, when and why to choose a certain pathing, how to identify your win-conditions and form a plan that plays to those win-conditions.
Capstone Session: Bringing it all together
1 hourFinal session with live-game coaching and/or VOD reviewing where we look at your progress and work on incorporating all the concepts you've learned thus far. We can also use this time to address any lingering questions or general tips you want to discuss.
