Introduction to Competitive Pokemon (4 hours)
For players wanting to get into VGC, I highly recommend this plan. This training plan is designed for new-coming players to understand the basics of the game. Each one hour lesson will include a lesson plan to ensure each individual can come out of this a better player.
Sessions Overview
What is VGC?
1 hourIn this session, we will start with you. Why do you want to play VGC? Do you have any short/long term goals with the game? We will go over the Official Ruleset for competitive Pokemon, and what makes it unique.
Mechanics and Terastal Phenomenon:
1 hourEach generation, Pokemon gives us a new mechanic to master. We will use this session to learn about Terastalization, what makes them unique, and how to best use them offensively and defensively in a game. We will also use this session to learn about other mechanics that make battles so electrifying.
Practice makes permanent: Habits of successful players.
1 hourWe will be going over effective habits to succeed in our last session, while practicing with the team we worked on together. We will discuss Team Preview and successful strategies to improve your play and knowledge over time. We will also create a practice plan designed to fit your needs best.
Teambuilding: Is your favorite Pokemon viable?
1 hourOur second session will go over team building as a whole. There are many fundamentals for making solid teams, and we will talk about how to identify them to give you the tools to create powerful teams on your own. At the end of the session, we will work on a team together.
