I started playing SC2 when it released and made Masters (top 2% of the NA region) with Terran in 2011. By 2012 I was Masters in all three races, capping out at ~5250 MMR with Terran on the NA ladder. I started casting around late 2011 and went full-time in 2013. I had the rare opportunity to teach an esports course at the NYU Game Center and learned a lot about teaching a group of non-RTS players how to appreciate SC2 and esports as a whole. No matter your current skill level or perceived talent, I strongly believe that anyone can make it to Masters in SC2 if time and effort is applied. If your goal lies more in bettering yourself or just learning the game, I'm more than happy to work with any goal you have in mind. StarCraft is a beautiful game that doesn't just reward "learning build orders and maxing APM" - RTS is like working with a piece of clay, where your goal is personal and your vision is unlimited. On the casting side of things, I have an incredibly strong passion for the craft of esports commentary. I host a podcast named "Caster Calls With ZombieGrub" where I interview on-air esports talent about their work. As such, I'm not just coaching from my own personal experience. Over 30 esports professionals have told me their journey and opinion on what makes a great commentator, and I'm eager to share that with anyone who has a passion for casting.
