Welcome to Kassio's Shooting masterclass. Everything in Rocket League is useless if you can't score goals. This ultimate shooting class will give you the simple tools needed to dominate your opponents every match. Thank you for watching Kassio's exclusive Masterclass. By now you should be familiar with all shots in the game and the only thing you need to know is how to set up a good shot for yourself or your teammates. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out to Kassio or GamerzClass via Discord.
Redirects are balls coming from a different direction that are results either from passes or direct bounces from the wall. Mastering redirects will 100% up your game level.
The bounce shot is slightly more advanced because it includes some timing and a moving ball but the basics behind the bounce shot is what you will be using to build on your fundamentals.
Popularised by world champion SquishyMuffinz, the ceiling shot is a fancy but efficient way to score goals on inexperienced defenders as it is very unpredictable.
Once you have enough air & ground control it's time to master the 3rd place the ball can be situated. The wall comes with different challenges which is why Kassio dedicates a separate episode just for it.
The first thing you need to master is hitting the ball the right way with the appropriate speed so of course, at the gold level, you will start a straightforward basic shot.
For perhaps more than 50% of the time, the ball will be in the air so of course, it's only natural that you understand how to perform shots while the ball is airborne.
Air rolling is by default one of the more advanced mechanics but it is an integral piece that is used all the time by all high level players. In this episode, Kassio teaches you how to use it for shooting.
Landing with 4 wheels on any after your initial jump will reset your "gravity" which allows you to flip again. This can be implemented in your shooting to score some wild goals.
If you want a good shot you can't just randomly hit the ball with any part of the car. The top corner (either left or right) is always the best part of the car with the largest hitbox to create the power you need for a great shot.
The backboard becomes increasingly more important the higher you go in levels so being able to score with the assistance of the backboard becomes essential.
Air dribble bumps are one of the best ways to score easy goals at Grand Champion level. Kassio teaches you how to perform them here and if you want to know how to defend, check out the same topic covered by Scrub Killa in his Defending masterclass.
It should come as no surprise that Double Taps are the next thing you will learn after mastering the backboard as the double-tap is a shot that uses the backboard for self-setup.
