“I started with carmine after I started to see some improvement and didn't know where to go with it. We started working on mentality and moved into replay reviews and character specific ideas. During these two months that these meetings took place I went from 17th at the first college local to getting 7th at one. Then two weeks later I got 5th at another one and I still have more ideas that I want to try out. Carmine keeps giving me new fundamental ideas for me to explore without telling me exactly what to do. I'd say that his specialty is giving you the groundwork to help you figure out what to do on your own. He doesn't just tell you to punish x with y, but gives you options on how to punish x with their pros and cons. Actively adapting in games was my biggest issue, but Carmine gave me so many ideas to try out that it became a normal part of my gameplay. I'm constantly looking for my opponent's options and trying to figure out how to punish them. I'd recommend Carmine if you want to learn how to improve on your own from an experienced teacher.”
