Mario Kart 8Friend Room Practice
This lesson will help you learn to race better on tougher tracks that you may struggle on. We will race on your track choices and will also have CPU's on Hard to challenge you; keep front-running against them! This lesson will also be an opportunity to improve your general online racing on 150cc (or 200cc in 8 Deluxe).

This lesson will help you learn to consistently race well in online mode. We will race on completely random choices against (1-10) other players to challenge you; the goal is to keep front-running against them as often as possible! This lesson will also be an opportunity to improve your VR rank.

Do you have any Mario Kart basics I can learn in my spare time?
There is always stuff to learn in Mario Kart! The "Baby Steps" Training program covers everything for 1st time Mario Kart Players. If you want anything more specific then shoot Ellie a DM on Metafy or one of her other social media accounts!
Your lesson prices are strange $ amounts, why is that?
As a UK coach, prices are set like this purely because of up-to-date currency conversion rates for British Pound Sterling VS United States Dollar.
Competitive Mario Kart is a thing? I'm surprised.
Yes. Competitive Mario Kart has been around as esports for quite a while now. There was a small community of us back in the Mario Kart 8 Wii U days but it wasn't till the Switch version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was released in 2017 that the competitive community grew from there. Now with Mario Kart World being released in 2025, it can only go up from here!
Favourite character to use?
Mario Kart World: Either Princess Peach (Touring) or Yoshi (Soft Server) - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Version 3.0.1): Kamek
Favourite course?
Mario Kart World: Cheep Cheep Falls - I love the theme of Japan/Asia in this track. It also has a nice balance of road, off-road and water elements, making this course the most interesting and fun to play! Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: N64 Royal Raceway - The aesthetics are so pretty and not to mention it's the perfect track to practice both 150cc and 200cc racing on!
Worst course?
Mario Kart World: Wario's Shipyard/Wario's Galleon - Way too much water for my liking, the water elements are too choppy making it super difficult to drive well... Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: GBA Cheese Land - Everyone just ends up "Bagging" for the best possible item to win last minute; no skill needed for this track!
