About me
Melee coach first, top player second. I coached myself into becoming the #10 player in the world, and I want to help you figure out your own path towards reaching your goals. I play many characters at a top level and put a focus on giving holistic advice that goes beyond "you should have done X in t...
Do you only coach high level players?
I coach players of any skill level. I spent a year of my life workling with children, so I have learned how to break things down and put them into simple, understandable words, which means that even if you are completely new we'll be able to have very productive sessions. If you are new I will help you get comfortable with the terminology, guide you through what is relevant to learn and what can be saved for later, and guide you as you get closer to reaching your goals within the game!
What makes YOU the right coach for me?
While I am a good player, being a good player and being a good coach do not necessarily come hand in hand. I have experience working in education and put a lot of effort not just into being better at the game, but also into getting better at conveying the concepts that I have learned in ways that are easy to understand for players of different skill levels. I put a lot of emphasis on not just giving you raw information, I will make sure you know what to do and also how to go about learning and implementing it.
What are your lessons like?
While the average Melee lesson tends to lean heavily towards "VOD analysis", I prefer setting up theoretical frameworks first and then going into concrete applications of them. If we first talk about how to practise & implement new things, and if we make sure we create a gameplan before watching your gameplay, our analysis or ends up being much, much more efficient! I also like connecting to my students in game and showing things off in real time to make information more digestible, or watching VODs of good players with them to help them understand the gameplan. Making lessons visually interesting and engaging is extremely important and tends to be overlooked. In the end, we can do whatever you want to during a lesson, but if you don't have anything in mind I will gladly provide us with a framework that will easily let us fill up the hour.
What characters do you feel comfortable coaching?
I can play almost every Melee character at a high level (which you might have noticed if you've been watching my Twitter clips for a while). I have also done plenty of coaching for "unorthodox" characters like Yoshi and Luigi before. I feel confident coaching players of any character.
Do I have to be from Europe?
I have multiple students from the US, Europe, Canada, Australia, Asia and other non-European regions. Everyone is welcome and since my schedule is flexible we'll easily find a time that works for us despite time zone differences! Send me a DM if you can't find a time that works for you and I can open up a time slot that works for you.
What else do I get when buying a lesson?
You gain access to 400+ lesson VODs of mine within my discord server. You also get the opportunity to send me a Melee question whenever you feel like it and I'll respond with examples and clear answers.
