Valiant and London Spitfire, most notably being a key part of Valiant's rebuild in 2019 and going on a crazy run to take 3rd place in the Stage 3 playoffs, after a horrible 0-7 season start under different coaching. One major thing many coaches get wrong in Overwatch is that they focus too much on just handing out information and rules to players without considering how that affects decision making in-game. The problem with this approach is that it turns players into memorization robots who can't think for themselves in tough situations and in turn become indecisive. In a game like Overwatch which has limitless variables flying at your face at all times, you can't just memorize rigid rules to get to the top. You need to know how to make one of many good (and bad) decisions given any number of factors, which means you need to understand HOW to think about the game, and how to act quickly and decisively. The wrong decision at the right time is better than the right decision at the wrong time, and at the end of the day I want all of my players to understand what to think about and how to execute. This is why if you are doing a session with me, I will ask you many questions as to what you were thinking about in a given situation. Every player is different in how they think about the game and how they make decisions which is why tailoring your coaching to the player you are working with is so crucial. Each coaching session with me will be a true back-and-forth as to how we can help you take your game to the next level, you won't just be listening to be go on about a list of pre-determined things for an hour and then calling it a day. I will want to know everything about you as a player so that I can help you to the best of my ability. This is also why I highly recommend scheduling at least 2 sessions so I can see how you progress and how you process the things we discuss.
