What experience of Smash do you teach best?
All levels! I've been there, I get it. Been playing since the good ol' 64 days all the way up to being competitive since Brawl.
Can you teach all characters?
Of course! Chrom and Diddy are my pride and joy, but I'm still competent with most of the cast and can teach all levels of the game. I've been there; I get it. Also have played: Ike, Byleth, Banjo, Lucas, Steve, Pyra and Mythra.
What goes on in these lessons?
Whatever you're looking for! If you're unsure, I prefer online play. I believe it gives me the best idea of what you're play looks like and what it needs to improve. Replay reviews do help, but are not required unless there are specifics you have in mind that you want to talk about. I also go over and teach concepts revolving around frame data, stage control, on-shield data, ledge trapping, advantage state, disadvantage state, and more.
Do we talk during the lesson!
I prefer to use voice chat over Discord, but if you prefer text, that works for me too.
How are the sessions recorded?
I record the gameplay and our voices through Discord! I then send over an MP4 to you over a Google Drive. It will not be public to anyone else (unless you want to share it)!
Do I need any preparations?
It'd be best if you had any questions/specifics you wanted to go over. However, I can take the lead and show you the ropes on stuff I notice you struggling with. I'll also have plenty of questions and suggestions throughout the time! I suggest taking notes, though the recording will still be provided for you.
Do you stream these lessons?
Nope! However, you can stream it if you want.
I missed the lesson! Can I reschedule?
You can reschedule lessons with me as long as you contact me a bit before the session begins (or earlier if you want). If you miss the session and ask for it afterwards, there will be a re-booking fee depending on the lesson you chose. This is because there is a lot of prep work and scheduling that goes into these - I plan my whole days around these lessons. Even if the student isn't responding, I wait the whole hour for them and even push back my schedule afterwards to make room for the late arrival. Just make sure to keep in contact with me to avoid this!
How do I do a Replay Recording with you?
You take footage from a tournament (youtube, twitch) and download the MP4 (google!). Upload it to Metafy through the Replay Recording button! If you want to upload directly from your switch, follow this method: https://i.imgur.com/gqwZvx4.png
