Ranked Plan 1. Rookie - Diamond (Any Character)
Totally new to the game? Want to understand a fighting game from the ground up? This is the plan for you. I can take you from beginner to a diamond player in a series designed to meet you at your level and get you on track for success. We will start with skills assessment, bad habit prioritization, fundamental concepts of the characters approach. By the course's end you will have the full ability to: develop match up strategies, design and use your own bread and butter combos, block-strings, option-selects and tons more! Sessions Overview
2. Bad Habits and You / Combos and Oki
2 hoursWe will continue the work from the previous lesson plan to work further on your bad habits. Now we will begin the "circle of offense." This means we will teach blockstrings, combos, setups and how to manage your offense and the neutral in a way that forces your opponent to face your offense. This is where the study truly begins.
3. The Neutral and You - Refining Our Range and Pokes
2 hoursUpon basic defense, offense we will start to dive deeper on the best options to choose for your character and when at range. This is designed to get you in a more calculated approach in the neutral and a better understanding of concepts such as whiff-punishing and spacing traps.
4. Working Through the Walls of Improvement
2 hoursFrom here onward things become so specific to the individual player. For you to arrive at diamond, we will continue a structured approach of replay analysis, refining our offense, defense, meter management, and more. Once we have a functioning strategy with your character, this lesson we will repeat up to three times until I deem you ready to conquer every step of the way to diamond.
1. Skill Assessment and Fundamentals
2 hoursIn this session I will observe and play (connection permitting) your gameplay. This is the beginning of your journey. You will leave this session knowing your worst habits, systems to remove them, what to work on for next time. We will to fill in any gaps in understanding of the engine of the game and its battle mechanics. If you have a ranked or personal skill level goal - here is where the journey begins.
