Hi I'm Pax. I have always had a background in coaching and teaching others in a variety of different areas, especially Street Fighter V. What separates me as a coach is my ability to translate what someone is saying to me and tailor it into a style that fits the person I am trying to assist. I would love to help guide you on a path to improvement. A little about my history: I didn't start with an aptitude for fighting games, I learned by losing and pulling information out of people who I played. My experience was a montage of constantly playing people who were better than me, while 'maining' a historically low tier character in the game, and being roasted verbally by my opponents in the process. I spend a lot of time devoted to teaching on my streams, as well as have 1000s of hours in private lessons with players helping them improve in SFV. I took a lowtier character, worked all the way up to the top, and now want to pass along the information that I have obtained by my own trial by fire. I have taught for over 2000 combined hours on and off Metafy and my students have achieved results consistently towards their goals. I'm an Expert w/ Shoto Characters and main Luke/Ken/Akuma, but i can teach any character from a fundamental and solid approach, i will make sure that you never feel lost on how to progress as a player, i will give you a powerful foundation to build upon and then add building blocks onto this foundation as you become comfortable. Name's Dez, I play Street Fighter Competitively, as well Guilty Gear, KOF and Virtua Fighter. I've had a bit of experience coaching and giving lessons in SF4 as well as SFV, especially with my main characters for those wanting to learn either Guy or Zeku, and naturally based on my achievements at majors and locals I've been considered a well regarded player, and quite knowledgeable within my craft.
As a longtime commentator, I learned how to speak and articulate fighting games in my own efficient way from early on in my journey in the FGC. As a proud practitioner of the "commentators who make it out of pools challenge," I am thrilled at the prospect of providing you the tools, and the understanding of the tools, to have a shot at making it out of any tournament pool in any 2D game, or whatever your goal may be!
