We talked about the issues he could see and we went into depth on what I strategies I should do to play optimally with my character. He can talk more than just about the coaching and can build a real conversation. It was a pleasant experience.

To start, i've had three separate coaches. I've seen multiple styles of coaching. Carmine is an EXCELLENT coach. We started with 5 friendly matches in which Carmine was able to get a vibe on my current skill level. Then it was time to ensure my overall goals were notated. I've never really had a main before, just played random or characters I thought were good. He encouraged me to find a main and even one that I loved, instead of who I thought was "top tier." We ran through the entire move-set of my newly acquired main and even went as far as the frame rates of most moves. Overall an amazing session and will absolutely be scheduling another!

I started with carmine after I started to see some improvement and didn't know where to go with it. We started working on mentality and moved into replay reviews and character specific ideas. During these two months that these meetings took place I went from 17th at the first college local to getting 7th at one. Then two weeks later I got 5th at another one and I still have more ideas that I want to try out. Carmine keeps giving me new fundamental ideas for me to explore without telling me exactly what to do. I'd say that his specialty is giving you the groundwork to help you figure out what to do on your own. He doesn't just tell you to punish x with y, but gives you options on how to punish x with their pros and cons. Actively adapting in games was my biggest issue, but Carmine gave me so many ideas to try out that it became a normal part of my gameplay. I'm constantly looking for my opponent's options and trying to figure out how to punish them. I'd recommend Carmine if you want to learn how to improve on your own from an experienced teacher.

Very knowledgeable player but even better coach. Capable of understanding what is happening in game and how to translate that into more consistent play. But it's also capable of understanding what is outside the game and the way it affects how you play. But most importantly very comfortable to talk to and easy to work with. Had a great session will be coming back from more.

Why should I book you?
As both a coach and player, I’ve witnessed and felt how frustrating it can be to feel “stuck” at your current level. After working with over 300 students, I’ve honed my ability to not simply give advice, but to guide players into forming their own solutions to problems and creating their own unique understanding and identity within their games! Basically, I won’t just tell you what options or strategies to use, but will teach you why these options work, to equip you with the tools to deal with any scenario. That way, you can break through to the next level! Not to mention the incredibly affordable price! I have no idea what session to book. What would you recommend?
If we haven’t worked before, I’d recommend starting out with the Consultation Session so we can meet and make sure I am a good fit for you as a coach. If you’d prefer a replay review, I’d recommend starting with the Standard Analysis, or if you are looking for succinct advice, you can opt for the Almighty Comment.

Who do you play? What decks do you play?
I am a solo Ike main, but I have a good grasp of the entire cast, and can coach players on the fundamentals no matter who they main! In Marvel Snap, I play a variety of different decks, from High Evo to Hela to (my personal favorite) Gambit Wong, and everything in between! In LOR, I am a huge midrange fan with Elites or Shen, but I sneak in the occasional Jinx Burn and Lissandra control game from time to time. I can help you figure out your playstyle and help find a good archetype for you in any of my games!
