Got a big tournament coming up? This plan will make sure you are well prepared to play your best Pokémon! With this training plan we will go over your goals for the tournament, walk through the meta game, help you select and build your deck, practice matchups, and I will give you some of my personal strategies for performing well at tournaments!

Sessions Overview

Deck Selection and Building

1 hour

We will work together to pick a deck for your event. Once a deck is selected we can work together to build you a 60 you are comfortable and confident with!

Deck Practice

1 hour

Now that you have your deck selected it is time to practice! We will go over the strategies to play your deck to the full potential. We will then play games together to help you practice

Introduction, Goal Setting and Meta Discussion

1 hour

This session is for us to get to know each other and discuss your goals for your event. Any questions you may have for me and/or the tournament can also be answered. We will finish the session by focusing on the meta of your area/the tournament and discussing possible decks to choose from.

Pre-Tournament Lesson

1 hour

The final lesson before your tournament! We can play more games, refine your list, or just discuss any questions you have for your tournament. I will also give you some of the strategies I use to do well at tournaments!

Post Tournament Breakdown

1 hour

We will discuss how your tournament went. We can discuss the decks you played against, some of the tough decisions you had to make, and your overall thoughts on the event. Please come to this session with some notes or notable moments from your tournament run that we can discuss!

Matchup Practice

1 hour

We will play your deck against meta relevant matchups so you are well prepared for any opponent you face at your tournament!
