One of my students went from Bronze to Immortal 1 and here’s how… The kid had some insane aim but he just had one problem. He would position himself out in the open and solely rely on his ability to out aim players. So what I did to help him fix this issue? I had him focus on one thing at a time while playing. Instead of pushing onto the site and worrying about every angle you can get swung from, take the time to think about where the enemy has been playing and what the likely chances are for them to be there again. So he started focusing on clearing one thing at a time rather than putting himself into positions to solely rely on his ability to accurately flick. This was just one issue. I'm Sondo301 an Immortal level coach who not only offers personal coaching but I create educational Valorant content on Youtube. My goal is to improve gaming and esports through my coaching but also through my side project of connecting teams, players, and coaches to eliminate the tedious task of searching for HOURS to find quality players not only in skill but in personality and behavior but of course, this will be a work in progress long term. I am a coach who not only studies the game at a very high level but I've been in the "hard stuck" shoe myself. During the first year, I was a hard stuck plat player trying to do an experiment on myself. I wanted to know what the fastest method of improvement was and throughout that year I was able to find my answer. Through my learning and research, I've been able to learn exactly what players need to do to reach the next level whether you are silver, diamond, or even Ascendant. The main issue I see in the lower ranks is that people have very poor mechanics and may not even know it. Improving your mechanics isn't as easy as you may think since if you have the incorrect approach, you will build terrible habits for yourself that will take twice as long to erase from your memory. The main issue I see in the higher ranks is utility usage. This issue is mainly due to players' tunnel visioning which makes you hyper-focus on one thing making you forget about everything else around you. I may not be a Radiant ranked stud but by using my research and knowledge, I have been able to turn bronze and silver players, into current Ascendant level ranked studs who will soon break into Immortal consistently.
