All new coaches in your games

Hi! I’m Steffen Eriksen — a Pokémon TCG player, Pokémon TCG judge, award-winning lecturer, and creator of Steffen’s Classroom. With over 20 years of experience in the Pokémon TCG, I’ve earned 13 World Championship invites and placed highly at major events across Europe. In recent years, I’ve also judged at all levels of competitive play, including serving as Head Judge at large tournaments. This dual perspective as both player and judge has deepened my understanding of the game’s mechanics, strategy, and structure. Alongside competing and judging, I’ve developed a reputation for bringing the game into the classroom — using it as a tool to teach math, probability, and strategic thinking in a fun, relatable way. My passion lies in helping others understand not just how to play better, but why good decisions work — through math, statistics, and structured reasoning. I’ve created the Pokémath series on YouTube to make these ideas accessible to anyone interested in taking their game (and understanding) to the next level. This Metafy community is a space to dive deeper into three key areas: 📊 In-game math problems (For math problems you encounter during Pokémon TCG matches) 📈 Probability and Deckbuilding (For probability questions tied to deckbuilding, consistency, opening hand scenarios etc.) 🧠 The theory and tools behind it all (For background explanations of all the methods used) If you're curious, analytical, and love Pokémon — you're in the right place. Let's level up your game, one equation at a time.

Hi everyone! My name is Jon Eng and I have been playing the Pokémon TCG competitively for 13 years. In that time, I've been fortunate enough to become one of the most decorated players in the game, finding success in all 3 age divisions. I've been regarded as one of the most consistent players and throughout my time I have found a passion for helping others improve their game. I look at coaching as a partnership more than a mentor-mentee relationship. I truly want to see you succeed and will be invested in your career as a player. As said before, I've found success in all 3 age divisions, so no matter your age or where you are in your game, I have experience and can definitely help you improve. If you have any questions, feel free to message me; I will respond as fast as I can. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals!

Hey! I have a Top 32 and a Top 64 at the most stacked Canadian Regionals we've ever had! I've also won several larger Cups, Challenges and Win A Box Tournaments! I've worked a lot with top Canadian players such as Cyrus Davis, Rowan Stavenow, Zach Lesage, Ben Hebert, Jackson Ford, and many more. One of my favorite things about the game is the community, and teaching players how to improve. I've coached several new players get into the game, as well as coached multiple different people to get their first day 2s, so I'm comfortable coaching players of any level. Je peux aussi parler en Francais!

Hey, I'm PJ and I'm professional Pokemon TCG player, content creator, and tournament organizer and Pro Team Manager. I started playing competitively since Base Set in the 90's and took a long hiatus. Since 2018 I got back into the swing, then started in full gear creating "The Shuffle Squad" - PTCG's best team worldwide. I have been a part-time coach since 2020. I've been able to help players learn how to play the Pokemon TCG, learn the core mechanics of the game, and expertly display deep strategies of the game. I've helped players earn their invites to the World Championships, win Regional Championships, International Championships, and even a World Championship win. If you're looking for a coach that can help you reach your personal goals in Pokemon TCG, I'm the coach for you. I'm a respectful, easy-going, and informative coach that can help you get to where you wanna go. I am relatively new to main stream coaching. However with my personal experience I'm sure I can teach you how to play Pokémon TCG better. The areas that I excel in are: deck building, sequencing, prize mapping, game planning, and general skill set growth. I've turned many players into top competitors and I'd love to help you on your journey!

My name is Nathan Stratford, and I have been playing the Pokémon TCG competitively for over a decade! I have had many successes in the game, with multiple regional top 8's, worlds day 2s, and ranking consistently in the top 50 of North America each season. When I am not playing Pokémon, I work to help children on the autism spectrum learn life skills and develop positive behavior. This has given me lots of experience teaching and working with kids, and is something I find great passion in :) As a result, I particularly love working with the rising generation of Pokémon players and providing coaching at a discount for Juniors and Seniors! I also am studying to be a therapist, and in turn, love to take the things I am learning regarding mental health and strategies and apply them to the Pokémon TCG. I aim to incorporate this into my coaching, so if you find yourself struggling with the mental side of the Pokémon TCG, I think we would be a great fit! What does a coaching session look like with me? 1. I want to not just tell you how to play your cards, but help you develop the fundamental skills of high-level play, so you can begin to INDEPENDENTLY navigate complex situations yourself! My coaching method involves asking you lots of questions and understanding how you think. I will prompt you to think out loud so we can learn together! 2. I want to get to know you and your strengths! Operating from a place of strength and not weakness, I believe, is a fundamental part of excelling in the Pokémon TCG! I will help you hone in on and craft your already existing strengths into a tool you can use to find success in the game. 3. Coaching should be fun! I want to make sure we have a positive experience in which you feel comfortable and safe, and that you walk away feeling like the time was well spent. If you think we would be a good fit, schedule a free consultation! I am looking forward to meeting you!
