My name is Chevy aka 'SiLenCe'. I'm a multidisciplinary trained coach specialised in esports. I have 4 years of experience working mainly for Rainbow Six teams as a mental/performance coach but both my skills and tools can be adapted to any esport discipline. WHAT IS MENTAL COACHING There are many reasons why we might plateau at some point: our game mechanics might need some work, our communication skills might be deficient or maybe our game knowledge is not great. But quite often, the issue that holds us back the most is not related to any of these areas; we might just not have the right mindset. This is where mental coaching comes in: it's a process to help us identify the behavioural patterns that are holding us back, understand what triggers them and introduce new actions that will optimise our behaviour and, in return, enhance our performance. MY COACHING STYLE My coaching style has a holistic approach; I try to address every aspect of the player: strengths and weaknesses, objectives, daily routines, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills and core beliefs and values. Although I have a non-disruptive and adaptive approach to coaching, I always work towards achieving these objectives: increase your self-awareness and improve your problem solving skills to help you become more resilient and independent. And when it comes to teams, I help create a healthy environment and foster a culture of accountability. WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM MENTAL COACHING I mostly coach for players and teams but I also offer coaching/mentoring for other coaches who are looking to improve the effectiveness of their work. And even to those who might want to apply coaching to other areas of interest, like work, academics or their personal life.
