Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Can't really say more than the lesson title says. All we do is play a best of 5 through wifi and I'll provide notes and areas to improve afterwards!
@cyel
I'm a professional Smash Ultimate Joker and Steve co-main, most notably known for my previous main in Sm4sh’s Bayonetta. I've been competing since 2017 and have had to learn how to break through multiple kinds of plateaus at several levels of play. While I mainly use Joker and Steve, my character pool is incredibly diverse, and I’ve worked with students with all kinds of different mains. I finished in the top 3% of Metafy's Ult coaches in 2022.

1 Hour Wifi Session

Nothing too crazy, just an hour of games over wifi with advice on what you can potentially improve upon!
local coaching
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
***THIS IS ONLY APPLICABLE TO THOSE LIVING IN THE LONG ISLAND AREA WHO FREQUENTLY ATTEND THE META GAMING'S EVENTS*** // This is in person coaching meant to help players develop a gameplan while playing in a serious bracket scenario! If we attend the same local (friday and tuesday AONs) then quickly run down when you would want to start discussing playstyle and when you would want to run games for a bit in order for me to help. (Note: considering that I will also be entering, I may not immediately be available at all points throughout the night. However, regardless of time, as long as I'm not currently playing in bracket, YOU will be my number one priority and I will focus specifically on your benefit for that bracket over my own.)
Live vod review
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
This is essentially what you’d get out of replay review but done over voice call on stream. There’s no vod limit, it’s just whatever we can cover in one hour. This option is much more catered to those who are looking to converse over their gameplay in real time rather than receive written notes through replay review.
free 15-minute consultation :)
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Not sure if coaching is right for you? Looking to talk 1 on 1 to see if I’m a good fit to coach you? If so, feel free to book this free 15-minute session! All we’d have to do is get in a Discord call and I’ll be ready to answer any and all questions pertaining to coaching for you. ***This is meant as a trial run to see if other lessons are useful. Please do not prepare more than 1 Smash related question. I don’t mind answering anything about Smash if it means I’m showing you my knowledge of the game, since that DOES give you a look at the potential content we could go over in the future. For an introduction, however, please try to center your questions more around your needs rather than a specific request (for example, "my friend does x and i can't beat it, help")
Replay Review (bo5/3-5 games)
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Reviews and gives insight and advice over the course of a best of 5 set. This is the most cost efficient means of getting a replay review and also allows me to most effectively see how you adapt to your opponent throughout the set.
Replay Review (bo3/2-3 games)
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Reviews and gives insight to gameplay over the course of a best of 3 set.
Essentials of Joker
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Joker is one of the most elusive and intricate characters in Ultimate, and with quarantine restricting us to wifi for a year and some change, he has began to see slightly lower usage. However, he's still widely regarded as both a top 5 character and one of the most skill expressive characters in the game. His high apm requirements, fast tools, precise hitboxes, and explosive punish game make him an incredibly fun character to both play as and watch. Joker is also one of the characters in the game who is best at allowing players to take hold of making their playstyle their own. He can be played in a myriad of ways, all with their own utilities and positives. If you're looking to pick up the phantom thief, struggle at fighting him and want to better understand the matchup, or even if you've already settled on playing Joker and want a refresher or second opinion on your gameplay or thoughts, this training plan is for you. Specifics covered: -Moveset utility/fluidity, both in a vacuum and as a complete unit -Movement and how to effectively use it -Gun/Eiha use -Tether use and mixups -Combo routes and covering DI/SDI -Kill confirms -Stage choices -How to manage Arsene + his meter as well as possible
Essentials of Steve (Main OR Counterplay)
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Steve is one of Smash Ultimate's most notorious characters for a number of reasons. If you're looking to pick up the character yourself, or if you want a deep dive into learning how to beat him, this training plan is for you! This plan covers every important aspect of understanding Steve, whether it's about his blocks, minecart, his resource management, or his incredibly vast amount of weird tech he can seemingly just pull out of nowhere.
Essentials of Bayonetta
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
This multiple week lesson will teach you everything you possibly could learn about playing both as and against Bayonetta. Bayonetta serves an incredibly niche and obscure role in SSBU's meta, making her incredibly confusing and unorthodox at first glance. However, learning how to both play as and fight her is an incredibly wise choice for the inevitable time where you find a high/top level Bayonetta player in your bracket, which is why I'm offering this month long training pack. This 5-week training plan will teach you the core aspects of playing neutral with her, comboing with her, proper SDI counterplay (and further counterplay to said SDI), and how to find kills. If Bayonetta causes any kind of struggle for you, whether it's playing as her when you find her in random, having a bracket demon that you can't beat who mains Bayo, if you just want to figure out more about her in order to add her to your repertoire of characters, or even if you're a returning main and want a refresher or second opinion on your thoughts or gameplay, this 5-week plan is absolutely for you.
